A beautiful evening (10/7/2017 at 5 p.m.), inside the elegant KING's LAND Restaurant:

OCA President and Board Members have prepared for you, family and friends a fabulous MID-AUTUMN (MOON) FESTIVAL BANQUET and you are cordially invited to celebrate with us.  The theme of Mid-Autumn (Moon) Festival is promotion of family reunion and togetherness. This year, our OCA Mid-Autumn (Moon) Festival Banquet is a fun-filled family event with the following programs:  10 Course Meal (including twin lobsters, peking duck, and golden fried mandarin chicken etc), Cultural Village with amazing Cultural booths so you can learn different Chinese culture, Silent Auction so you can get good stuff at the price you want and feel good about it, Entertainment (Kung Fu, Amazing Yoyo show, festival songs and music), and Fun family games with prizes.  For your eyes only, we also set up a magnificent and romantic Chinese Lantern District (good family photo taking opportunity)!!!!  We, OCA, hope we can bring Family Unity and Happiness to all our guests.

OCA is a non-profit volunteer driven organization with its mission to promote the social, political, and economic well being of Asian Pacific Islander Americans.  Through this Golden Banquet of Mid-Autumn (Moon) Festival, we understand the importance of family reunion and togetherness and appreciate thousands of years of Chinese culture and traditions.

OCA Summer Picnic and Wellness Fair

OCA Most Sincere Invitation to you and your family to OCA Summer Picnic and Wellness Fair
Our slogan for OCA Summer Picnic and Wellness Fair is "Eat Happy and Live Healthy!"  Therefore, besides serving wonderful delicious international food (by the way one of our members will bring a home made stove and make fresh beef/been tortilla for us!!), we will have Tai Chi master and Shaolin Kung Fu master teach us how to keep healthy and defend ourselves.  We will also have massage therapists, manicure specialist, acupuncturists, Chinese medicine doctors and dentists who will offer free services/advice.  We will set up tents, tables, home made stove, and provide food and drinks and of course we will have our very knowledgeable and skilled Wellness experts to help us to live a long and healthy life.  All you have to do is to bring some lawn chairs and towels if you want to swim.  Since Cherry Creek State Park charges $9 per car, you may want to consider parking your cars in the parking lot of Furniture Row (Quincy and Parker) and carpool with your family, relatives and friends.  You can enter the park from Parker & Lehigh.  Once you pass the ticket booth, you will see the sign directing you to different locations, please look for the direction to Beach and Swim and then follow the sign to Beach and Swim area, turn left onto Beach and Swim area and you can park your car in the parking lot.  You will see our OCA sign.   I promise you a very fun-filled day with lots of food and wellness activities to make you feel happy and healthy.  This is a excellent opportunity for you to do fun stuff with your family and enjoy this wonderful summer day with your loved ones.

Lunch and Learn Seminar

Call for Dragon Boat Paddlers

Race information:
The Dragon Flies are in the Flag-Catching (FC) Division. Each team must have a minimum of eight (8) male and eight (8) female paddlers, plus two (2) other paddlers of your choosing. You must also have a drummer and flag catcher. A steersman for all races will be provided by Colorado Dragon Boat Festival. All races will be 250 meters long.

We are looking for OCA Colorado members to paddle

 on our dragon boat team.  

This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of one of 

the best festivals in Colorado!

• Our Team: OCA - DragonFlies
• Festival Date: July 29 and 30, 2017 (Saturday and Sunday) at Sloan's Lake
  • Our Flag Catching team will only have races on Saturday, July 29^th.
• Race Team Fee: $20/person. This includes a t-shirt, three mandatory practices and dragon boat racing on the first day of the festival (Saturday)
• Training:
  • There will be three mandatory practices held at Aurora Reservoir:
    • Saturday, June 24th, 8:30-10:00 am
    • Saturday, July 15th, 8:30-10:00 am
    • Sunday, July 23rd, 10:15-11:45 am
• Your commitment: You Must attend all three practices; and you Must be prepared to be at the Dragon Boat Festival for the whole day on Saturday, July 29th
• Finally, you must be an OCA Colorado Member.  Not a member?  Now is the perfect time to join!
